In order to complete more home decorating projects this year, I came up with a list of projects I would like to complete in certain areas of my home. Ideally my blog posts will pull from completing tasks on this list as well as completing other spur of the moment projects. I should also tell you that I live in a 1,000 sq. ft. condo so I like to keep my projects small and avoid things like putting in a new floor, etc. Below is my list of "house goals" for 2013, not sure if I will complete them all but it gives me something to work off of!
Living Room
- Update pictures in frames
- Fill blank spaces on wall--Gallery wall?
Kitchen
- Add a rug
- Eventually paint kitchen table or get a new one
- Organize Cabinets
- Make magnets for fridge, maybe with washi tape?
Laundry Room
- Add a rug that will make the room more colorful
- Change lighting?
- Organize everything in the room, add baskets, etc., I love these green wire baskets!
Entry Way
- Add a rug
- Add hooks for keys, etc.
- Add wall art
- Possibly add a small table, love the pop of color in this example:
Office/Craft Room
- Decide on color scheme
- Add rug
- Add wall art
- Empty boxes and organize closets
- Add desk organizers, love the tiered basket one here:
Bedroom
- Add more coral and gold color elements to existing aqua decorations, like in the pictures below:
- Put color in the bookcase (paint back or add printed paper)
- Add a rug
- Change curtain behind bed
- Get new curtain "tie-backs"
- Organize
- Finally put together bench for foot of the bed
- Change/add more wall art (gallery wall)
- Organize Jewelry Area, inspiration below:
Closet
- Get rid of old clothes
- Change lighting, maybe?
- Organize everything
- Swap out old hangers for new wooden ones
Bathrooms
- Change/add decorations
- Organize/line drawers
