of some great products. If you'd like to see all of the posts from this series, go here.
I am really loving the gold trend lately and have been trying to find subtle ways to add gold touches to my bedroom. I love polka dots so naturally these Dotted Zinnia Knobs from Anthropologie caught my eye. Instead of paying $8 per knob, I decided I would make my own.
I actually found all the items I needed on a quick Wal-Mart run, here is what you will need to complete this project:
Supplies and Cost:
Knobs: $3.47 for two pack (=$1.73 for one)
Gold Sharpie: $2.24 for two pack (=$1.12 for one)
Total: $5.71 for two ($2.85 for one, plus you can use the Sharpie(s) for multiple projects)
This project is really simple. I used a gold metallic Sharpie however, you could probably use any color/type for this project and it would work well. I wanted a shine to the knobs which is why I chose the metallic style of Sharpie.
To make your own polka dot knobs, take your Sharpie and begin making circles all over the knob, continue until the knob is completely covered in dots.
Now simply switch out your current knobs for your new polka dot ones! Here is a picture of how mine looked on my nightstand.
Are you finding ways to incorporate gold touches to your current decor?
