Inspiration: 5 Ways to Use a Dresser

Last Thursday I shared about the antique dresser that I'm using in our Guest Bedroom to store craft supplies. As promised, today I'm going to share 5 unique ways to use a dresser -- none of which are to store clothing!

There are so many ways to use dressers. And in so many different rooms of your home.

#1: Next to the Bed

You could use a small dresser as a nightstand. Fill it with your nightly reading material, jewelry and small accessories.

#2: In a Bathroom

A dresser used within a bathroom could hold all your bath linens or extra toiletries like toilet paper, cotton balls and q-tips.

#3: On a Landing

A narrow dresser could sit on a stairwell landing. Perfect for holding items used around the home like board games, card games and stationary.

#4: In the Living Room

Dressers used in the living room could store all of your family keepsakes, like wedding albums, scrapbooks and photos -- close at hand for an evening reminiscing!

#5: In an Entryway

Entryways often get cluttered with keys, phones, shoes and outdoor accessories. What better way to keep things organized than with a dresser?

So, the next time you're at a yard sale or thrift shop keep an eye out for dressers -- they're more than just clothing storage!

Where in your home could you use a dresser? What would it hold?
