A Garden Sign {at the Cornerstone}

How was your Memorial Day Weekend? We spent time with family and friends, ate hamburgers at least 3 different times and spent practically every minute (except sleeping) outdoors. Our little boy is covered in scratches and bruises from playing hard, but he LOVED it. #3dayweekend

I've been hearing the song, Cornerstone, by Hillsong at church recently and I just love it. {amazon affiliate link}.
Christ Alone
Cornerstone
Weak Made Strong
In the Savior's Love
Through the Storm
He is Lord
Lord of All
When we were singing this song at church recently, I was thinking about building our home with Christ as the Cornerstone, like described in Ephesians 2:20 when Paul is talking about The Church.

The flower beds in front of our home start at one corner of our house -- or at the cornerstone.

After we finished planting all of our perennials, I  felt like the garden needed a little bit of height and color since the flowers would need some time to grow and fill in the space. This garden sign did the trick and it has special meaning too!

I had all the supplies, except for the stake {from Lowes for less than $1} around the house.

When I painted my herb planters, I also spray painted two unfinished pieces of wood in a nice coat of green that would pop against the side of our house.

After it dried I used a Sharpie and stencil to write the words "Christ Alone Cornerstone."

I nailed all of the wood pieces together on our porch. A neighborhood kid stopped by to ask what I was working on and I explained that Christ is the Cornerstone of our home.

You don't always get opportunities to share Jesus like that. So thankful for our little garden sign.

And now I'm in the mood to listen to some Hillsong. I've done some other music art too! Check out this post.
