Clay Number Tags

After making a clay chalkboard several weeks ago, I had some leftover Sculpey Clay {affiliate link}. This box of clay has gone a long way -- I've completed four different projects and I still have some clay left.

One of the tough things about moving is trying to figure out how to organize everything in a new place. You can probably expect lots of organizational projects from me to kick off 2014 because we'll be in our new place.

We have some handmade labels in our entry way that I made this spring. I love that they give the space a little personality, as well as "label" our coat hooks.

So, it seemed fitting to make some more handmade labels to use in our new home.

I chose to use the numbers 1-5 since we don't know what we'll be using them for just yet. It could be coat hooks, bath towel hooks, baskets in the pantry, bins of toys, etc.

The blue and white baker's twine, leftover from the Pom-Pom Garland, was the perfect choice to hang each tag -- since blue coordinates with pretty much every room in our home.

They were so simple to make. If you've never used Sculpey Clay {affiliate link} before, check out some of my tips and a detailed tutorial here. I cut out each of the numbers with cookie cutters.

I'm not really sure I've ever used my cookie cutters {affiliate link} for cookies, but they often come in handy for craft projects!

As soon as these clay tags find a home in our new home, I'll share where they ended up!

Do you use your cookie cutters for cooking, crafting, or both?
